UCET 2010 - A Clear Vision for Teaching and Learning in a Digital World
February 26 & 27, 2010
Murray High School
5440 South State Street
Murray, UT (Map)

The annual UCET conference is the premier technology in education conference for Utah! Come and learn from any of nearly 150 sessions. See what other teachers, technicians, and adminstrators are doing in their schools to promote student learning through the use of modern technologies. If you're associated with education, you'll not want to miss this conference!

This year UCET is excited to announce a few new session formats to compliment our already successful Computer Lab sessions, classroom lecture presentations, and Over-the Shoulder (20-minute) demonstrations.

SPOTLIGHT BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) SESSIONS: First, we are featuring “Spotlight Sessions” in Murray High School’s Little Theatre. The Little Theatre seats 200 people and will be an opportunity to learn from the very best technology specialists & teachers from around the state. As a BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop Session) you will be able to watch as technology gurus share their expertise. Downloading needed software on your computer prior to the conference will allow you to following along with the presenter on your own laptop. Even if you don’t have a laptop, these are sessions you will definitely want to attend. See list of needed software.

ADDITIONAL (BYOL) SESSIONS: Second, In addition to the spotlight session, we will have additional dedicated rooms for BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) sessions. Downloading needed software on your computer prior to the conference will allow you to following along with the presenter on your own laptop. These Sessions will be held in the Band & Choir rooms and seat 125 people. These will be great sessions even if you don’t have a laptop!

3 HOUR SATURDAY SESSIONS: Our most exciting change is the addition of 3-Hour Saturday sessions. This session format will allow you to learn in-depth skills on a specific topic of your choosing. Sessions will either be taught in a computer lab or in a BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop) format. You will leave these sessions knowledgeable about the topic and ready to use the specific skills in your classroom Monday morning! Sessions will be limited to 30 people and pre-conference sign-up has begun.
